The New Energy Research Project is an initiative which embarks on research and development of alternative energy solutions from renewable sources which save the environment and supplement world energy demand.

Primary sources of energy used around the world include petroleum, coal, and natural gas, all fossil fuels. With energy needs increasing, the production and use of these fossil fuels create serious environmental concerns. Until a global movement for renewable energy is successful, the negative effects of fossil fuel will continue.

Every gap is an opportunity to create wealth.

Warren Buffet

I’d put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don’t have to wait until coal and oil run out before we tackle that.

Thomas A. Edison

NERP proposes to tackle these environmental challenges by developing more efficient renewable energy solutions. On the earth’ surface, solar radiation is approximately 1,000 W/m2. However, existing solar power systems are only able to harness less than 21% of this in real life scenarios. Our goal is to increase this efficiency to >50%.
